In order to bring out the math skills of students, the Department of Mathematics (S & H) conducted a fun event ‘MATH INTOSH – A Mathematics Event’ on 4th Nov 2019 between 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. The objective of this event was to provide a platform for all the first-year students from all engineering branches to showcase their Math skills, logical thinking and reasoning through various exciting and fun-filled games, viz., Quick Math, Connexions, Dumb charades, and Bingo. There was a huge response to this event. Around 477 registered and 252 first-year students actively participated. The winners of each game were recognized and were awarded by cash prizes. The event was coordinated by Dr. K. Maheswari and Dr. Vijeta Iyer. The participants were overwhelmed and were thankful that they got such a platform to enjoy and understand the beauty of Mathematics in a fun-filled manner. Also, the department appreciated the efforts of the participants and motivate the students to participate in the upcoming events and activities.
